In June, he published a book where he tells about his doping and recreational drug taking practices, and those of most of the other team members on the Cofidis team. He tells about his use of Post Belge, Oxyglobin (an artificial blood booster for use in animals), amphetamines, EPO and growth hormones and he tells about other riders' use of a mixture of sleeping powder and ephedrine. In January he was arrested by French police in connection with a doping investigation surrounding members past and present of the Cofidis team. He admitted to the French police that he used prohibited substances in competition e.g. EPO. (source: cyclingnews.com)
